Painterly Feel

Some particular locations simply have a painterly feel of their own that you wouldn’t be able to create in the editing process, nor you can ignore when taking pictures. As per my experience, such a quality is more specific to very old, untouched environments like wetlands or old-growth forests that preserve lots of details over time. There are also some woodlands having a particular kind of vegetation, like for example a flowery plant called Wild Rosemary or marsh Labrador Tea, typical of the Nordic countries and very common in Sweden, where it covers the ground of many of its forests.

Despite being often very difficult to walk and take pictures in these envinronments, I have learnt to appreciate their beauty and uniqueness and they have been of great inspiration to my photography.
